Kellam is below average in height, standing at about five foot ten inches with a surprisingly athletic and muscular figure from time in fighting pits, He is of krytan heritage, giving him a pale olive skin tone with dark brown hair and eyes, Kellam has a scratch like scar over his left eye from his youth, as well as a few other scars on his body from a life of crime and adventure. Kellam is usually seen wearing the same black leather raincoat and waistcoat, though often changes shirts and other items of clothing.

Personality traits

“Anything not shooting at what i’m shooting at becomes what i’m shooting at”

Kellam has been known to be somewhat of a hardass. Often staying firm, strong willed and rough to everyone, with only his closest friends knowing otherwise. Kellam is not the most intelligent man, but moves with a strong understanding of the world and how to survive and out-maneuver most enemies after some planning. His strong will and fierce combat style of never giving the enemy a chance make him a powerful ally.

Combat abilities

“I’m not a genius, but it doesn’t take a genius to know getting shot hurts.”

Kellam is highly flexible and skilled at the more questionable and dishonourable methods of combat. At range he can deal with targets with a military trained rifle aim. At close range he can fight like a thug and brutally knock his enemies out, stabbing the enemy or even shooting them at close range with a pistol. Kellam is quick to get angry at his enemies, which only makes him even more aggressive in tactics. Able to rush enemies down to stop them from having a chance to prepare. In the rare instance kellam has to use stealth. His life of crime has taught him the skills to hide in plain sight and sabotage enemy defences.

Background

“Oh fuck me, I hate long stories”

Kellam was raised in Lake Doric by his mother, Gwen Vulf. Through most of his childhood, Gwen was sick and kellams father was in jail, resorting in kellam becoming desperate to help his mother survive, He quickly turned to crime, joining a bandit gang known as “the rippers” as a pickpocket being small enough to slip into tight spaces to hide and escape pursuers. By the time Kellam had turned sixteen, his criminal record was an impressive list of robberies around the Shaemoor area, giving him the nickname of the “Wolf of Shaemoor” due to his surname and his vicious ambush tactics on Farmer supply caravans.
By the age of twenty, Kellam had adopted a young girl as a daughter, finding her on the streets and promising to look after her.
But after a brief respite of peace Kellam had been told to ambush a supply cart, which he had been told was heavily guarded on the inside. Kellam shot blindly into the cart, to which he discovered the truth, that he had been set up to murder a noblewoman and her child. These nobles ended up being Bret Greyskulls aunt and cousin.
While this was going on, his gang leader, worried by kellams sympathetic nature sent an assassin to murder kellams mother and daughter.
Struck by grief and guilt, kellam swore revenge, going to kill his entire gang and as many of his former allies as he could. He was mostly successful, accidently leaving one man alive, A norn criminal by the name of “Brynn”.
After the massacre, kellam turned himself in to the seraph of Divinitys reach, there the seraph had the clear choice of execution, before seeing a letter, speaking of training criminals into a better life through military service with a new order known as “the Vigil” The seraph, after holding Kellam long enough to deem him trustworthy, signed Kellam into the Vigil.
For many years, Kellam had trained in vigil service as part of a special operations unit, a group of similar ex-con troublemakers who could do vital tasks in the battlefield, something he had taken a natural calling to, after a while, the vigil had become the pact. Kellam had made a friend, a sylvari who he got along with well. After some time, things looked good for Kellam, he served in Orr where he lost his first commanding officer and Maguuma on special operations missions.
However… In the Maguma campaign, The airships went down, Kellam and three others of his squad survived, himself, his friend, his new commanding officer and one engineer. They were stranded in the Auric Basin. Days became weeks… Soon, the commanding officer and engineer determined the sylvari a possible threat due to the dragons corruption. They had sent Kellam to scout the area, while the commanding officer and engineer executed the sylvari “just in case”… only to discover he was not corrupted.
Kellam returned to the camp to learn of their crime and, in his rage he waited for the commanding officer to fall asleep, where Kellam murdered them and went AWOL. Fighting his way, tooth and claw out of the jungle to salvation.
For many years Kellam wandered tyria, filling his pockets the only way he knew how, robbing people and causing trouble. He was a wanted man, now wanted for the murder of a Pact official and the countless crimes he had committed.

Then he met a strange asura with green eyes, a norn with an eyepatch and their allies. After so long, kellam had purpose once again. And he helped these new allies through countless missions.

Seraph service (yes, seriously)

“Didn’t see this coming”

After many years of redeeming himself and fighting alongside a former vigil and former seraph man known as Thadenor. Thadenor pulled some strings to have Kellams criminal record seem like nothing more than a cover story for an undercover officer. It worked and Kellam had spent months out in Kryta as a seraph officer. In this time he had managed to arrest an entire gang of bandits without killing a single one and had fought off the awakened from Krytan soil.
But one seraph officer, known as “Sergeant Copperback” knew the truth of Kellams past, this officer was crooked and corrupt, exploiting the weak for profit by making threats and demands on the more poverty stricken areas of Kryta.
Kellam couldn’t do anything about Copperback, not without causing trouble. So rather than fall into Copperbacks plot, Kellam instead dropped out of the seraph to plan for a way to expose Copperback. Or be rid of him for good.

He was getting bored of an easy job, anyway.
