Candice is about five foot tall with pale skin, green eyes, ginger shoulder length wavy hair with light freckles on her cheeks, she has a rather slim and small figure which shes somewhat ashamed of, she often wears anything she finds comfortable and hates wearing anything too girly.

Personality traits

“I’m not a fuckin’ pet”

Candice has always been somewhat distant and untrusting of people around her, some say she might be paranoid, others think she could be cautious of her surroundings, recently this is alot less of an issue as she has somewhat warmed up to others in the refuge, but she still shows some distance. She likes animals alot more than anything which talks, finding people to be more difficult to understand at times due to how she was raised, she has the manners and speech of an average bandit. As well as a blunt, narrow minded and straightforward mentality on most things. When people can befriend her, she will like talking to them and spending time with them. But she dislikes too many compliments, seemingly unable to handle flattery.

Candice herself is somewhat weak and frail. But with this comes a survival instinct. She is able to sneak around threats without the use of magic to steal from the enemy or even sneak into buildings, she makes a good thief due to her small size and instincts with hiding. She can support her allies with nature magic taught to her by Coryn. While Candice herself is weak, With her she brings a deadly ally, a drake which can also hide and ambush enemies with the same deadly efficiency. The two together make a dangerous predator to their enemies.

Early life

As a child Candice was left to an orphanage in divinity’s reach since her parents could not look after a baby. She never even knew who they were, though she only lived there for the first three years of her life… At the age of three, a norn criminal working along side bandits in Kryta called Brynn had seized the orphanage to shake the workers of their protection money. He had planned to burn the place to the ground. It was then he saw one girl who was different, little candice stood there in the doorway watching, having managed to sneak around all the staff and bandits in the orphanage. Something about how she looked gave Brynn a sense of sympathy and remorse. Taking her in as his own while the orphanage burnt to the ground. Over the next years of her life, she was trained as a bandit, Candice however hated killing people. As a result, Brynn had her help his gang as a hunter, going out to gather food for the rest. Hoping that she would learn to kill without remorse… It was here where she did the opposite, killing a drake broodmother and taking in one of its young as her pet. She loved this drake hatchling all her life… One night, Kellam, another member of this gang returned to claim revenge on Brynn, killing most the gang for tricking him into a murder. He managed to finish most of them except for Brynn and Candice. Brynn was arrested and, now fatherless and alone, Candice lived on the streets, hunting for herself and her pet.
Many years later, Brynn was back from prison, she always hated Brynn and this hate was doubled when she found out his first plans upon coming out of jail. He wanted revenge on kellam and this group of bandit killers he had heard about known as “the refuge”. She ran and hid, finding an abandoned tavern to live in, hopelessly wishing she could help these people prepare for Brynn… That was hopeless, until she met Derek, who warned the refuge through a communicator he had found.

Now

Now, a while after that, She lives with Coryn, a stronger ranger than herself, who taught her how to use her magic and helped give her purpose, Brynn is dead and she considers herself free. Coryn once told her of a sister he knew with the same name, giving Candice some hope she may have a family out there somewhere, but she also doesn’t care. Knowing her family is in the refuge already.
