Family

• Zoey is a canthan noblewoman who lived in a private estate by ebonhawke for most her life.
• Zoey has a twin sister, who because of her father’s “unique” sense of humour is also called “Zoe”. This and the fact they are exactly identical in behaviour, looks and style leads to many confusing situations when the two are together.
• Zoey is the daughter of Francis Yu and Helena Yu. Helena Yu was Francis’ second wife, the first being another woman and the mother of Hiroe.
  She dislikes both parents equally. Her father is a twisted controling man who went to extreme lengths to keep Zoeys adventurous teen years under control, her mother was a separatist lieutenant but is now dead.
• Zoey also has an older half-sister, Hiroe, who is an adventurer formerly connected to the refuge.
• Af of 1331, Zoeys father had died of a chest infection. Leaving Zoey as the lady of the house with both her sisters refusing to take the title.

Life

• Zoey moved to Divinity’s reach at the age of twenty, her strong sense of justice and moral fibre lead to a career in the seraph as a detective, for her useful abilities as a mesmer at the time.
• In her career, she was lead to fighting two significant people in the refuge. She had once fought Bret Greyskull, winning the fight by stabbing the man in the side, Narrowly missing his Kidney with a rapier, the second was Kellam Vulf, who managed to escape her before she could arrest him.
• After investigating a cult, Zoeys career was cut short when her boss deemed her “Unsuitable for work”. Zoey still finds this suspicious.
• Zoey once met and joined a group called Chronological investigations. She helped them on several missions and tried her best to care for multiple people there.
• Her and her now ex-husband Ikaros lead the attempts to gather people for a new group once Chrono disbanded. The idea of this group was to provide shelter for those who remained in chrono, as well as provide a new life for those who had lost their former lives. Because of this the group became known as “Remnants Refuge”

The Ethereal monsters

• At one point, Those of the refuge came into conflict with mist entities worshipped as gods by a cult, these creatures held great power and had extremely malicious intent, only weakened in our reality.
• One such creature (Known as treachery) Infiltrated the refuge disguised as Nia, luring Zoey to a remote spot before consuming her memories of the past five years with magic much like that of a mesmer.
• The nature of this attack seemed far more strategic than random. As events following this had a massive negative impact on many people in the refuge. It lead to the collapse of her life and fears that Zoey Yu was dead. Replaced by someone who had been surrounded by strangers.
• After frequent complications and torment from her and her former friends, Zoey left the refuge and attempted to make something of herself.

The experiment

• Months after the Ethereals had been defeated, Bret Greyskull and his institute gathered the mask of the ethereal responsible for Zoeys memory loss, going along the idea that if magic was used to take the memories away, it would be restored with magic, the experiment was a success.
• After returning, Zoey was obsessed with the idea of fixing the mistakes she had made without memories, after several months finally settling the issues with her ex-husband and friends. For now she is simply laying low in the refuge until needed.

• Zoey seems to wear the emblem of her family around her neck on a golden pendant.
• Zoeys birthday is on Phoenix 89th (June 28th)
