“The Strength Of Many, As One”
History
House Manchester was formed some centuries ago from somewhere in Ancient Ascalon. In 1133 AE Harrison Manchester, dubbed ‘The First Manchester’ created the settlement of Wyndsmere alongside various norn hunting parties and other refugees from both the Foefire and the Krytan Civil War. The city was established hesitantly under Krytan rule, though as the years drew on Wyndsmere declared independence against Kryta, whilst swearing neutrality with the White Mantle. This meant the city was far enough outside all wars to be left alone for many years to follow. In this time, the Manchester generation built up the city of Wyndsmere into what it is today. Sometime along the way, they reestablished connections in Kryta, and took a seat upon the Ministry multiple times in the past.
The noble house was not outwardly recognized until Vermillion Manchester, the grandfather of the current generation and a man known as a bustling warrior, managing to fight back quarreling Tengu and bandit forces in Wyndsmere for his lifespan. He was known as a cold warrior, and personally saw to the training of hundreds of his own personal militia, which would be aptly dubbed the Manchester Guard. The Guard would persist alongside Vermillon and into the next generation of Coarson and Venryk Manchester. For reasons unknown to the public eye, the latter never bore a child of his own, until Coarson had sometime in 1307 had a child of his own, Coryn Manchester. Coarson and his wife Vermillia however, left Wyndsmere to Venryk as they took up residence in the Krytan Divinity’s Reach.
As most of the public eye looked upon Coarson and Vermillia, Venryk and Wyndsmere were left in obscurity for many years until the Lord’s return in 1330 AE, when after the supposed death of Coryn Manchester the old Lord took up the position as head of the household, and once more showed to the world Wyndsmere and its people…
